CASE 1: PRE-LAUNCH INSIGHTS GATHERING AT AN ADVISORY BOARD

SITUATION:
The client required deep clinical insights in order to effectively position a new therapeutic agent for launch with the ultimate aim of challenging the current treatment paradigm.

SOLUTION:
MIMS proposed, developed and facilitated a regional advisory board to engage experts on specific business questions to uncover valuable insights.

OUTCOME:
The advisors proposed a strategy of segmentation and targeting, and answered key business questions relating to the client’s needs; insights gleaned at the advisory board were utilised and made a significant contribution to the client’s successful launch strategy across the region.

CASE 2: INTERNAL TRAINING WITH ONLINE LEARNING

SITUATION:
MIMS was challenged to consolidate and unify a suite of client education materials and solutions. The client required very rapid onboarding of medical affairs and sales teams across Asia due to new therapy area expansion.

SOLUTION:
MIMS worked with the client to map out a curriculum of therapy area content across English and Mandarin, and developed a multi-channel, learning management-ready education platform.

OUTCOME:
Learning analytic methods were utilised to assess the impact of the program and an overall increase in education engagement was realised as well as a very positive response to the unified platform.

CASE 3: STRATEGIC BUSINESS LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

SITUATION:
The client challenged MIMS to support them in the creation of an innovative service offering outside of the company’s current business model and develop the case to achieve accelerator funding.

SOLUTION:
MIMS conceptualised and facilitated a workshop, utilising proprietary business model generation techniques, to support teams in developing a new monetisation framework.

OUTCOME:
MIMS’ role was two-fold: to support team members in becoming ‘intrapreneurs’ and assist them in creating an actionable and value-generating business plan. Participants were challenged to define the value of the innovative service offering to the company and assess risks to support decision making, allowing them to develop a business case and secure further internal investment.

CASE 4: ACCREDITED MEDICAL EDUCATION PROGRAM FOR DOCTORS

SITUATION:
MIMS was commissioned to act as scientific secretariat to the organising committee of a local medical society for their annual scientific meeting.

SOLUTION:
MIMS developed a centralised event portal facilitating delegate management, payment and e-abstract submission. Outreach and faculty management was facilitated by MIMS’ industry leading events team.

OUTCOME:
The medical society meeting was attended by over 600 participants – including 100 globally renowned speakers and faculty members. Delegates benefitted from the rigorous scientific program which contributed CME points to their continued professional development, and consisted of three plenary lectures, twelve scientific sessions, and twenty-five sponsorship and exhibition stalls.

CASE 5: ONLINE, CME/CNE-ACCREDITED LEARNING ACADEMY

SITUATION:
The client wanted to standardise treatment strategies for prevention of future recurrent events in hospitalised patients.

SOLUTION:
MIMS created an online learning academy comprising an online platform where multimedia content featuring globally-respected external experts could be hosted.

OUTCOME:
The online academy was successfully rolled out and is providing valuable guidance on how to standardise hospital protocol treatment strategies for prevention of recurrent symptoms in therapy area patients.
