Victor Wright

Victor leads the medical communications business unit as regional Vice President. Under his leadership the MIMS medical communications business unit is becoming a globally recognised agency – forging strategic partnerships and building its reputation for excellence.
Victor places a premium on leadership, inspiration and collaboration and has created a culture where the MIMS medical communications team can innovate and solve problems in a holistic way.
Prior to joining MIMS, Victor led teams at global pharmaceutical companies Pfizer and Merck, and at international healthcare agencies at OMNICOM, to launch blockbuster brands Lipitor and Vytorin, among others.
Victor has an MBA in marketing at Indiana University and B.A. in political science at Duke University.

Jasmine Chan

Jasmine Chan is Regional Director of MedComms, Operations. Jasmine obtained her bachelor’s degree in the UK, a master of science degree in hotel and tourism management from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and a postgraduate certificate in strategic public relations and crisis communication from the Hong Kong Baptist University. She has over 20 years’ experience in business operations, public relations, and managing a diverse range of top-calibre events worldwide; her extensive experience provides her with different perspectives on operations management and expertise in workflow and process planning.
Jasmine joined MIMS in 2010 as Head of Operations of Hong Kong and now oversees MedComms Operations for the region, providing day-to-day operational expertise and guidance and playing a leading role in developing and implementing strategic plans that support our pharma company clients’ medcomms objectives.

Awi Curameng serves as regional editorial & scientific lead of the MIMS medical communications business unit.
Awi earned his MD from the University of the Philippines Manila and trained in emergency medicine. Combined with over 20 years of experience writing and editing professionally, he brings valuable insight and scientific leadership to regional and global healthcare clients.
Awi’s professional experience encompasses private healthcare financing, clinic administration, health policy development, and multi-channel medcomms programmes across every major therapeutic area.

Cassie Humphreys is Group Vice President of MIMS Singapore and Malaysia, tailoring innovative, behavior-changing, multi-channel solutions to the needs of regional and global healthcare clients.
Following a degree in Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Cassie embarked on a marketing career in the pharmaceutical industry. With a reputation for commercial success, Cassie held positions ranging from Brand Manager to Marketing Director within top-tier pharmaceutical companies and ground-breaking biotech organisations.
Under Cassie’s leadership, the team have built a reputation for excellence – forging strategic partnerships with clients in healthcare to deliver world class services across Asia and beyond.

LUP YEE YAU

Lup Yee Yau took on the role as Vice President of MIMS MedComms, Hong Kong, in September 2017. With a degree in microbiology, he has over 27 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
Starting in sales and then 10 years in sales management, Lup transitioned to marketing and has held positions locally, regionally and globally for Boehringer Ingelheim, predominantly with an APAC focus.
Formally the B.I. Director of Marketing in Thailand, responsible for the management of the prescription medicines portfolio, Lup has a clear understanding of the needs of pharmaceutical partners and is well positioned to input at a strategic level, having taken many brands from pre-registration, blockbuster launch, to post patent.

IAN WILLOUGHBY

As Client Services Director for MIMS Singapore, Ian leads a team that partner with clients, helping them to develop strong brand strategies and deliver engaging and effective communication plans.
Ian has worked in the healthcare communications industry for over twenty years within major pharmaceutical companies and healthcare advertising and medical education businesses, both in the UK and Australia.
He has experience over a wide range of specialist, general practice and consumer health areas and has led the development of campaigns over a broad range of communication channels.
In his role at MIMS Singapore, Ian utilises his wealth of experience and his focus on developing enduring client relationships to deliver positive results through industry-leading programmes.

HUW WILLIAMS, PHD

Huw has over 18 years experience working across biomedicine – from academic research through to medical writing and editorial leadership roles at global medical communication agencies.
His experience spans a wide range of therapeutic areas, and across a broad range of deliverables – from publications to novel digital outputs. His solid scientific background provides a strong basis for thought leader engagement and strategic scientific communication planning.
In an editorial capacity, Huw is both able to create and review scientific content to ensure the highest quality of editorial standards are achieved with the utmost scientific rigour.

SIGOURNEY LIU

Sigourney Liu obtained her bachelor’s degree in hotel and catering management from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 1991; a bachelor’s degree in business studies from DeMontfort University in 2005; and her master’s degree in healthcare system management from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2012.
Sigourney has over 20 years of experience in meeting & conference management, including 7 years with the Federation of Medical Societies of Hong Kong, and her first 4 years with MIMS (2003–2007). Sigourney performed senior administrative roles for the Hong Kong Dermatology and Laser Centre and the Department of Ophthalmology of the Chinese University of Hong Kong before rejoining MIMS in 2011 as Head of CME.
